Upon completion of her studies, she taught for seven years at the Waterford School, a liberal arts college preparatory school in Sandy, Utah. There she helped develop the Waterford Fine Arts Academy and served as director of the choral program and chair of the music department. In 1999, Hall returned to BYU to take the place of Mack J. Wilberg, who was appointed Associate Music Director of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Music Director of the Temple Square Chorale in May of that year.
She is currently an assistant professor of music, teaching classes in conducting and choral literature for both undergraduates and graduates. In addition, she is the director of both BYU Men's Chorus and Concert Choir. Both choirs were invited to perform at the Western Division Convention of the American Choral Directors Association in Salt Lake City in 2006.

In 2015, Hall received the Creative Works Award from BYU, which recognizes faculty members who demonstrate outstanding achievement in the development of creative works that have had wide acceptance and national or international distribution.
