Ricardo Quintana

Ricardo David Quintana Galindo graduated from Brigham Young University in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in media arts studies. He was included on the Spring 2014 Dean's List.

In 2014, he traveled with fellow students Jared Jakins, Jeffrey Wade and Shelbi Anderson and faculty Ed Carter, Jeff Sheets and Brent Barson to Chile, where the group spent two weeks gathering information about the reform of higher education in the country in collaboration with students at Universidad Mayor. This project was funded by BYU's Laycock Center. At the 2015 regional Mark of Excellence Awards for the Society of Professional Journalists, the group won the Online In-Depth Reporting Award for their piece "Breaking the class ceiling," and later in the year they were announced as finalists for the national award. The piece was also a gold winner in the 45th Creativity Student Media & Interactive Design Awards.

He was one of the students that worked on the short film Ghosts on the Mountain, which was nominated for a Regional Emmy in 2014.
