Camlyn Giddins graduated from Brigham Young University in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in Media Arts. Giddens was included on the spring 2011 Dean's List.
In 2012 she was the photographer for the Love Unbroken
project. Love Unbroken
was funded by the Laycock Center for Creative Collaboration in the Arts
at Brigham Young University
in 2012. The purpose behind the project was to choreograph and film a contemporary dance number that would inspire hope in the redeeming power of divine love. The dancers collaborated with students from the Theatre and Media Arts
department and with professionals in that field to create the set and produce the visual effects seen on the film. The project was filmed at the Durham Brands warehouse and at the Salt Flats in Magna, Utah.
The film was produced, directed, and edited by Darin Southam, a local professional actor and director. The project presented a wonderful opportunity for students of different disciplines to work together. In turn, the students also had the chance to experience a professional set and to work with and accept advice from professionals in the fields of dance and film.
In 2016, Giddins co-wrote an article in the January issue of the Friend titled This Little Light of Mine.
