Brent Keck graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor's degree in political science (1997) and in 2002, a master's degree in dance. He currently teaches Ballroom Dance Company at BYU where he also coaches multiple competitive dancesport couples, many of which are preparing for United States National Championship titles. Brent Keck joined the Department of Dance as a full-time faculty member in the Ballroom Area in 2016.
Keck has been involved in competition ballroom dancesport for over 20 years. As a professional competitor he and his wife claimed the championship title "Professional Rising Star Professional Latin Champions" at multiple events across the United States. Over the past years, he has also been the director and choreographer of the BYU Youth Dancesport Formation Team that holds 23 United States National Youth Formation Championship titles. He is also a dual licentiate with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance and is recognized by the NDCA as a "Championship" judge. Currently Keck is the National Committee Executive Secretary for the USISTD.
He resides in Provo with his wife and 4 wonderful children.
