Adam N. DeMello graduated from Brigham Young University in 2011 with a bachelor's degree is media arts student at In 2012 DeMello was a member of the film crew for the production of Love Unbroken, a project funded by the Laycock Center for Creative Collaboration in the Arts.

Directing the project was Dance faculty member Michelle Nielsen, and the student performers/choreographers featured were Cayel Tregeagle and Arianna Brunell. The dancers collaborated with students from the Theatre and Media Arts department and with professionals in that field to create the set and produce the visual effects seen on the film. The project was filmed at the Durham Brands warehouse and at the Salt Flats in Magna, Utah.

The film was produced, directed, and edited by Darin Southam, a local professional actor and director. The project presented a wonderful opportunity for students of different disciplines to work together. In turn, the students also had the chance to experience a professional set and to work with and accept advice from professionals in the fields of dance and film.
